- Scenario a- our cell is surrounded by a 5 % glucose solution.
- The glucose molecules will move through the cell membrane through diffusion from a high concentrated to a low concentrated region.
- Scenario b-If we increase the concentration to a 10% glucose solution, then there will be many glucose molecules around the cell.
- The frequency through which the molecules collide with the cell and enter it is much greater than the frequency in scenario A therefore the rate of diffucion is higher in scenario B because we ahave a greater concentration gradient.
