Molecules move in diffusion due to their own kinetic energy.
Diffusion occurs in cells when oxygen moves into a respiring cell.
In this case, there will be a high concentration of oxygen outside the cell and a low concentration of oxygen in the cell.
In the opposite direction, there is a high concentration of carbon dioxide in the cell and a low concentration of carbon dioxide around the cell. In this case, the carbon dioxide will diffuse through the membrane, out of the cell.
Diffusion: High concentration to low concentration.
